2013 Aston Martin DBS Spy Photos – Nurburgring

Here are the latest spy pics of the next-generation Aston Martin DBS hiding under camouflage, seen here undergoing handling testing at the Nordschleife in Germany.

The car is wearing detail camouflage around the rear to hide its one-77 inspired curves, but we can clearly see the new light clusters based on the Virage and Rapide.

Powering the next James Bond car will be a 6.0-liter V12 engine but will get one-77 tuning to deliver about 530 HP.

Also with the chassis weight reduction targeting around the 1350kg this will be some formidable super car.

2013 Volkswagon Beetle Cabriolet – Too Cold to be Cool

Here are the latest spyshots of the upcoming Volkswagon Beetle Cabriolet undertaking winter testing in northern Sweden.
It looks like it wasn’t hot enough in the subzero temperatures to go topless.
The new generation Beetle was unveiled last year but was leaving the cabriolet for a probable unveiling in either production concept at the Geneva Auto Salon next month.
Powering the Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet will be the same range of engines found in the current model and mated to the DSG transmission or a six speed manual.

Engine Choices:-
1.2 TSI 105PS which will do the 0-62 dash in 10.9 seconds.
1.4 TSI 160PS Which will do the 0-62mph dah in 8.3 seconds.

We expect some R Variants to be seen testing sometime this year from the concept shown in Frankfurt in 2010.

Rolls Royce Phantom Facelift – First Spyshots

Here are the latest spyshots of the 2013 Rolls Royce Phantom facelift changes on the outside are minimal.

Changes seem to be hidden by a clever headlight sticker hiding a complete new lighting cluster and daytime running lights.

Also around the front quarter window there is some detailing hidden under the camouflage, which hints at a new arrangement.

We are expecting the same process where the chassis is dipped in 7 chemical baths to galvanise the chassis from corrosion and then off to production where the engine is fitted.

The engine will be the 6.75 L -V12 as the previous model but expected to achieve some additional fuel economy considering its current thirsty 18mpg appetite.

We expect Rolls Royce to have the worldwide unveiling at the 2012 Geneva Motorshow where the current model was shown in 2008.

I could talk about the interior options but as the class of the cars “Bespoke” program I expect it to be suitably yours.

2012 BMW M5 Testing at Miramas

At the proving grounds, the engineers push the new BMW M5 to its physical limits. Engine, suspension and transmission settings are checked under the most extreme conditions in order to fulfill the highest requirements in the series vehicle.

Precise steering, adaptive suspension control, the M Double Clutch Transmission that shifts without interruption of traction and the Active M Differential are tested on the handling course to ensure optimal interaction.

For maximal acceleration from a standing start, the BMW M5 has an improved launch control function. The torque of the high-revving V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology is made tractable in the best possible way, delivering unrivaled acceleration.

A smokey burnout like this might not play a role in everyday driving, but it has to be part of the testing. This spectacular start leaves behind a trail of black rubber on the pavement and a smile on the face of the driver.

On the wet handling course, the engineers optimize the car’s controllability on its performance threshold. Thanks to the spontaneous, finely tuned response of the new M Twin-power Turbo V8 engine, the BMW M5 can be perfectly balanced with the gas pedal – whether in M Dynamic Mode of with deactivated DSC.

The BMW M5 isn’t just a high-performance sports car; on the proving grounds in Miramas it also proves its suitability for daily driving. On extreme downhill sections and winding roads, the sequential and automatic transmissions are tested for flawless function.

So the Wolf of the Nurburgring is looking impressive BMW hint at the VMAX of around 308 kph (191mph) and also hint at the lack of rollback on the E60 M5.

BMW M5 Prototype testing at the Nurburgring

The 2011 F10 BMW M5 is set to become one of the most sought after cars of 2011. The intensive track testing is a tribute to BMWs commitment to making the M5 the best in class albeit missing the opportunity to turbo charge the now discontinued E60 V10.

The M5 is set to make its public unvailing at the 2011 Frankfurt motorshow after a Teaser at the Geneva Show earlier in 2011.

The 4.4 v8 twin turbo as used in the current x6m will be tuned to around the 550bhp but these figures havent been finalised yet.

Anyway enjoy the Video and the recent prototype images

Aston Martin one 77 Test Mule AKA “Dirty Shirly” Spotted at the Nuerburgring

The Aston Martin One-77 test mule was undergoing some hot laps over at the Nordschleife in Germany brandishing the pet name “Dirty Shirly” and a tally of 14 mysterious activities done to this voluptuous piece of British Engineering.

The super-expensive British supercar has been teased and teased and now dons the name of some high class hooker, Aston Martin have set up a dedicated website for the most powerful production Aston Martin ever, which can still be found at www.one-77.com.

Carrying a base price of a cool EU 1 million and headed for final production in a limited run of only 77 units, the One-77 is undoubtedly targeted at the type of attention-seeking car customer probably not too affected by the global economic recession currently gripping the auto industry as a whole.

The One-77 carries a 6.0 liter V12 tightly based on the powerplants used in the V12 Vanquish and newer V12 Vantage, but reengineered completely for this application to produce more than 700 horsepower. Aston Martin says the One-77 was developed with DTM series race cars in mind, and if the new supercar proves as capable on the road as it looks on paper, those 77 examples should be snapped up real quick.

Rumour has it that Aston have allready sold 10 units to a mysterious buyer from the middle eastern market for a cool 12 million GBP.

All we can say Dirty Shirly knows how to strut her stuff and worth stuffing a note or two in to its suggestive vents and this wont sell the story to the News of the World.
