Here are the latest spyshots of the 2014/15 Civic Type-R, and it looks like the car is to be powered by a turbo for the first time.
This is possibly to improve on emissions which ultimately led to the previous models being chopped, Powering the car is a bit of a mystery but we can assure you that Honda mean business with a 300hp+ serious hatch which will be powered by a new 2.2 liter engine.
Gumpert unveiled two world premieres at the Geneva Motorshow first the Apollo R and the road legal Apollo Enraged special edition.
Roland Gumpert the former director of Audi Sport informed us it has been 3 years since they got the 7:11 time on the infamous norschleife and is looking forward to beating it with both cars the Road Legal Apollo Enraged and the trackday special the Apollo R.
The Gumpert Apollo R uses the Audi sourced V8 used in both the V8 R8 and the RS4 with added twin-turbo engine producing 860 HP, the power increase is a tribute to the additional boost pressure and lower air gas intake temperatures along with modifications from the manifold and air intake system which will survive hotter ambient temperatures.
The engine considering its anorexic 1100kg is finished off with a single piece of cast aluminium detailing the Gumpert Logo.
The special edition GUMPERT apollo Enraged. Limited to three vehicles worldwide will have 780 hp which is the most powerful street legal Apollo to leave the GUMPERT factory.
We expect Gumpert to be attempting another record of the Nordschleife later this year.
Here are the latest spyshots of the final production prototype of the MK7 Golf. The cars is still under heavy camouflage so most of the detail and styling cues are still under wraps.
However what is interesting in this new model is the brand new MQB chassis that will be shared with the Audi A3 Etc. It will have a longer wheelbase and will also have more aerodynamic features.
The range-topping Golf models will use a new 2.0-liter TFSI Petrol engine with more producing around 240 hp on the GTI and around 310 hp in the Golf R which will be equipped with VW’s 4Motion 4 wheel drive system.
VW accidently gave us our first look at a very early clay prototype of the Mk7 Golf featuring a agressive snout and more steeply raked windscreen through an official video back in 2009.
The Acura NSX, or Honda NSX, is one of my favorite sports car that was originally produced between 1990 and 2005 by Honda. It was a mid engined affair mated to a rear-wheel drive layout, powered by an all-aluminium V6 engine featuring Honda’s Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC) system.
The video shows its prowess on the likes of the Nordschleife in Germany’s Eifle and also at Le-Mans.
Now after many years of rumour about a second generation NSX and the concept shown in Detroit, Honda are starting to tease us with the prospect of a new NSX reaching us in 2015.
Hopefully some prototypes will be showing up soon as there is usually a 3 year development cycle.
The guys over at Autogespot have got the first shots of the Koenigsegg Agera R.
The Agera R runs on biofuel and is the most powerful that the car maker Koenigsegg has ever built. The five-liter V8 engine generates 1115 horsepower and, thanks to extremely light weight of 1330 pounds, this is a car that is very hard.
There is no details of the performance of the car but expect a 0-60 of sub 3 seconds and a max speed of around 225mph.
Is there going to be any surprises left at Geneva with all the leaks???
