Deep in the Arctic Circle we have spied something which albeit is a battery powered vehicle but apart from that we are clueless..
These are the details of what we know it is electric it is from a German OEM, from first looks it seems to look like a Smart but then other photos lead me to think wiesmann but something tells me an EV isn’t their bag.
So this ones up to you what do you guys think it is???
Here are the latest spyshots of the upcoming 911 Turbo Coupe in very light camouflage and just hides some of the detailing on the front bumper.
Looking closely at the spyshots in the images above, we can clearly see the trademark induction inlets supplying the artic cool air to the 6 cylinder twin turbo boxer engine, as well as its wider rear end and oversized spoiler will aid the AWD system in downforce and grip.
The rear bumper on this new 911 Turbo also features additional cooling vents and a set of integrated exhaust pipes which are likely to be changed.
From The current 997 generation, the 911 Turbo is 4.5 cm wider stance than the regular Carrera.
The engine is likely to be around the 565 hp to compete with the Nissan GTR and is likely to release an interesting nurburgring lap time video close to release in late 2012.
The car is also likely to have an optional upgrade to the ‘PDK-S’ dual clutch transmission sporting an additional gear to keep shorter gear ratio to aid acceleration and mid range torque.
We expect a production prototype to be shown at Geneva in a couple of months….
The current C6 RS6 was discontinued in 2010 and there was no hints of a replacement in development.
It is great to see that Audi have not forgot its Bi-Turbo Quattro’s in this latest prototype to sneak its way from Neckarsulm home of the RS models up to the winter wonderland in northern Sweden.
This car is in mule form on first looks, like a current A6 based Avant sporting A8 wheels.
But on closure inspection we notice the aggressive front bumper leading its way back through to the Ceramic Disks front and back, this is no other than an upcoming RS6 Production prototype.
We are expecting the car to be powered by a V8 Bi-Turbo 4.0 liter engine which is currently in use on the New Bentley Continental GT and the current S8.
But this car will be going head to head with the likes of the BMW M5 & the new AMG C63 so expect BHP to be around 580hp mated to a revised Bosch ESP and EBD safety system and the usual Quattro AWD with DRC.
Enjoy the remarkably uncamouflaged mule and keep an eye out for the production prototypes around april this year.
