lp700-4 Aventador Roadster
Lamborghini presents the new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster:

The most exciting series production Lamborghini ever built and the new benchmark in the world of open-top luxury super sports cars.

On the heels of the successful coupe introduced in Summer 2011, and with over 1,300 units already delivered to customers, the House of the Raging Bull is now offering the convertible version of the Aventador, a vehicle that perfectly balances the ultimate driving experience with the ultimate in sports car sophistication.

The new Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster can immediately be recognized by the unique profile of its upper area, which extends along newly designed geometric lines from the removable roof to the engine hood.
The Roadster’s design is the result of a careful study into the best way of combining performance, elegant style, ease of use and a driving experience that excites all five senses.

The two-piece roof is made entirely from carbon fiber using various technologies such as RTM and Forged Composite®. These technologies guarantee maximum aesthetic performance and stiffness although each component is extremely light, weighing less than 6 kg.

These two parts are removable, easy to handle, and being lightweight and simple to attach, can be stored in the front luggage compartment. In just a few seconds the Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster can be admired in all its luxurious beauty.
The rear pillar has been redesigned to offer total support for the removable roof, accommodate an automatic protection system for passengers, and provide the engine compartment with ample ventilation.

The new Gallardo LP 560-4 and LP 570-4 Edizione Tecnica: worldwide premiere at the 2012 Paris Motorshow

LP 570-4 Edizione Tecnica
At the 2012 Paris Motorshow Automobili Lamborghini is presenting the most successful super sports car of its entire history with a new design – even more aggressive, and more extreme: the new Gallardo LP 560-4 and the LP 570-4 Edizione Tecnica.

The new Gallardo LP 560-4

The unique design with its razor-sharp lines is one of the key factors in its great success worldwide. Nearly 13,000 units have already left the Sant’Agata Bolognese factory.

The Gallardo design has now been further accentuated in the new Gallardo LP 560-4. The new front end is characterized by triangular and trapezoidal forms – two shapes that are highly typical of the Lamborghini design language. Divided by diagonal elements in body color and in black, the overall look of the front end is broader and more forceful, giving it an even stronger bond with the road.

To complete the new look larger air intakes have been created ahead of the front wheels and the new 19-inch “Apollo polished” alloy wheels, painted in matt black and featuring precision-machined spokes in polished silver.

Also new is the even more dynamic rear end design on the Gallardo LP 560-4. The triangle and trapezoid are, of course, the characteristic design elements here, too. The air outlet for the power unit now has now a wider surface area, which improves its thermodynamic efficiency. A new Style Package is available as an option and offers high-gloss black paintwork on the underside of the front spoiler, front and rear grilles and the transverse element of the rear trim to give the Gallardo LP 560-4 an even more powerful look.

Lamborghini Aventador “Wipeout” Spyshots

Here are a set off pictures we don’t come across often it shows the current model Lamborghini Aventador testing in the extreme cold climates of Northern Sweden.

After our previous photographs of the Aventador Roadster we thought we had an opportunity in better light to snap the car.

As the car approached the intersection, at a speed that appeared faster than the posted speed limit, the driver lost control, skidded through the intersection and crashed into a large snow bank.

Then the red faced Italian test driver took offence from this rather legendary photo opportunity and approached in an aggressive manner apart from a comedy slippery advance.

The time he got to us he realised that this wasn’t the streets of Corleone and basically retreated back to the vehicle after a few mutterings.

By the time an Audi A6 allroad, equipped with a winch, came to pull the raging bull out of the snow, things had calmed down.

The driver scooped the snow out of the car, gave us a large smile and a big thumbs up, and got back to work! Not exactly the finger we were expecting to see.

Fortunately, the driver, and the car, came away from the mishap totally unharmed.

Lamborghini Aventador Roadster – First Spyshots

Here are the very first photos of the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster spied in northern Sweden under some very difficult lighting conditions.

This car has the same spec engine wise as the current Aventador, V12, 700 horsepower, 690 Nm, 2.9 seconds to 100 km/h and a top speed at 350 km/h.

On the photos we can clearly see the camouflage that is trying to hide the fact that the roof can be lifted off, and it looks like the roof could be made of carbon fiber instead of the soft top fabric found on the Murcielago Roadster.

Not much more specs can be discussed as this is very early days.

Chinese Millionaire Destroys Lamborghini Gallardo #fail #silly

Reuters

A disgruntled but rather silly Chinese millionaire who clearly had enough of his expensive, but problematic, Lamborghini Gallardo took out his frustration by hiring a crew to destroy the posh car in front of stunned spectators.

The cruel public execution took place Tuesday to mark World Consumer Rights Day.

The driver, who bought the second-hand car in Qingdao for 1,900,000 yuan ($284,124 Cdn), became enraged after the engine failed to start last November.

Further troubles ensued after the Qingdao Lamborghini dealership damaged the bumper and chassis while towing the car to the garage.

To top it all off, the garage failed to fix the malfunctioning engine and the dealership refused to take responsibility for any damages.

The driver reportedly tried reaching out to Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann. But after receiving no response to his appeals for help he decided to take matters into his own hands by hiring a demolition crew to dish out some public revenge on the Italian beauty.

The man said he hoped the car’s ugly death by sledgehammer would send a message to carmakers that better after-sales service in China, especially for luxury cars, is desperately needed.

Lamborghini Aventador Live Pics from Geneva [updated]

After we spotted the “Jota” prototype AKA the Aventador in 2010 testing at the Nordschleife in Germany.

The Italian bullworks have been unlucky in the amount of press leaks about this vehicle.

And there is nothing to reveal at Geneva apart from what you can see in these pictures, from our friends at Autogespot.

Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Scan image leaked

As we was just about finishing another generic teaser set of images from Lamborghini Showing the Rolling Chassis attached to the Carbon Fibre Passenger Cell.

But it looks like the Italian press leak shows what we really want to see showing a top front view of the LP-700.

One thing surprises us over this leak is that the prototype camouflage hinted at the angular slatted engine cover, only this picture shows the usual aggressive styling is gone and replaced with more of a refined design.

Are we going to get the side views before Geneva time will tell….
