Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe Confirmed and the C63 AMG Black Out in the Wild

Well the guys at Mercedes are ready to show us one model of the C63 AMG and keeping the upcoming C63 AMG Black away from the press reports.

As a result the new C63 AMG coupe gets 451bhp which is increased too a whopping 481bhp with the optional AMG Development pack and 442lb ft of torque, from the final offering of the v8 6.2 litre unit.

That will be enough to push the new Mercedes to 62mph from rest in 4.4 (4.3) seconds and on to the electronically limited 155mph or (174mph) top speed (Development pack version).

Power goes to the rear wheels via the AMG-specific SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed transmission, which features a wet start-up clutch in place of the traditional torque converter, helping to reduce power losses and improve fuel consumption.

Now here comes the unofficial news on a C63 AMG Black we first exclusively spotted back in October last year,first of all expect the above C63 AMG to be whipped around the winter landscape in various forms of weight reduction.

Along with the wider arches to give it a more aggressive stance supported by a the 6.2 litre v8 hand finished and tweaked to deliver around the 540hp via a modified version of the C63 AMG 7-Speed box.

Expect to see ceramic disks and a rear diffuser on later prototypes and the fenders should eventually blend in to the bodywork along with a sub 4 seconds 0-62mph.

Prototype Mercedes AMG SLS Cabriolet Winter Testing Spyshots

Previously we spotted a heavy camouflaged version of the SLS Cabriolet lapping the Nordschleife at the infamous Nuerburgring in Germany, now the convertible has been caught testing in the extreme cold of northern Sweden at temperatures of -18 .

This is a very light camouflaged version showing the Cabriolet in all its glory with the usual light camouflage over some of the detailing.

That means the SLS cabriolet will lose its “gullwing” doors spied on this latest prototype.

Mercedes-Benz has tweaked the standard SLS recieving an awe inspiring 420kW/ 571hp naturally aspirated power,

The Gullwinged coupe is said to accelerate from 0 – 62mp/h in 3.8 seconds and top off at 315km/h. Convertibles are normally a little slower than their hard-top specification but the loss of the gullwing could equal the weight gained from the additional chassis reinforcement.

The SLS Cabriolet should be making an appearance at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2011.

Strange Mercedes C-Class AMG Black Series Mule Spyshot’s

A few weeks ago we spied a C-Class AMG Prototype with a wider track and flared chromed wheel arches.

We found this strange as the New C-Class is arriving in mid 2011, we assume that this is a prototype of the C-Class AMG Black Series.

We expect that this car is powered by the same 6.2 liter V8 as the CLK 63 AMG Black Series.

The power of this model should be around 510 hp along with a 0-60 time of around 4 seconds, and the power delivered to the rear wheels via AMG 7 speed speedtronic gearbox.

And to stop this car there are ceramic disks along with a dual circuit system to ensure maximum brake performance at high speed.

Not sure if this C-Class AMG Black Series will make it to market with the new model coming in 2011.

Mercedes ML63 AMG – Less Camo – Spyshots

Might be the end of the industry test but it doesnt stop the AMG boys showing off a less camo version of the ML63.

The ML63 will have the 6.2-liter powerplant replaced with the efficient 5.5-liter, twin-turbo V8.

The current ML63 AMG spits out 503 hP and a respectable 465 pound-feet of torque, but with the twin-turbo 5.5-liter, the reworked ML could see at least 544 hp and close to 610 lb-ft of torque.

In addition to the upgraded engine, the camo-clad mule also benefits from a more aggressive lower-front bumper.

Mercedes SL63 AMG Spyshot at the #Nurburgring

Last week we spotted the SL63 AMG undergoing some Nurburg ring time in Germany, the car was lapping with the standard SL so was easily missed.

Although still covered in camouflage, these pictures prove that Mercedes-Benz have officially begun final testing of the next-generation SL63 AMG, which will be on the market in 2012 or 2013.

Underhood we expect to see Mercedes new 5.5L twin-turbo V8, generating around 570 horsepower. Distributing the power to the rear wheels will be the Speedshift MCT seven-speed transmission from AMG.

Look closely and you’ll see large air ducting and a more sugestive fascia leering out from behind the camouflage. Performance brakes with cross-drilled floating rotors are clearly visible, although Mercedes has hidden the SL AMG’s exhaust outlets to look like those found on the normal SL.

Expect a teaser at the Frankfurt Motorshow in 2010 before the likely full release in 2011.

MERCEDES MAKES ‘WORLD’S FASTEST 3D FILM’

The Isle of Man TT, David Coulthard and a Mercedes SLS AMG make the world’s fastest 3d Film.

The film was shot on the Isle of Man, where they shut the Mountain Road which is part of the iconic TT road circuit, to allow ex-F1 driver and F1 commentator David Coulthard to put the Mercedes SLS AMG through its paces, and reach 162mph along the way.

The second car to track and film the Coultard led drive was a second SLS AMD driven by Robbie Head.

So if you happen to be around a 3d public house it will be shown on “SKY” tv’s pub channel.

2011 Mercedes ML 63 AMG

Mercedes unveils its updated exterior on the ML 63 AMG, featuring a powerful 375 kW (510 hp) AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine, takes on a more attractive appearance thanks to some subtle but effective changes.

From the front, the eye is immediately drawn to the new bonnet with power domes, and the darkened bi-xenon headlamps with active light function. The rear, meanwhile, also contributes appropriately to the new look: the performance SUV now features darkened tail lamps incorporating a clear-lens design and LED technology. The subtle changes to the exterior coordinate perfectly with the high-gloss, chromed front and rear underguard, and afford the ML 63 AMG an even more powerful and distinctive appearance.

Still boasting a power output of 375 kW (510 hp) at 6800/rpm as well as 630 Nm of torque, the ML 63 AMG is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds, and achieves a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited). At the renowned International Engine of the Year Awards in 2009, the AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine took the top places in both the “Best Performance Engine” and “Above 4 litres” categories.

As before, power transfer is taken care of via the AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission with three drive modes. The permanent all-wheel drive is decidedly sporty: the power is split asymmetrically 40:60 between the front and rear wheels to provide optimum agility. The AMG sports suspension, based on the AIRMATIC package with air suspension, adaptive damping system ADS and automatic level control all-round, provides dynamic performance combined with the hallmark Mercedes long-distance comfort. The generously dimensioned AMG high-performance braking system, which features internally ventilated and perforated brake discs all-round, ensures short braking distances and optimum resistance to fading.

The ML 63 AMG comes with 5-spoke AMG light-alloy wheels, which are painted titanium grey with a high-sheen finish and fitted with 295/40 R 20 tyres on the front and rear. As an optional extra, titanium-grey-painted, high-sheen twin-spoke AMG light-alloy wheels fitted with 295/35 R 21 tyres are also available.

As usual, the interior of the ML 63 AMG is both functional and high-quality: electrically adjustable AMG sports seats finished in nappa leather upholstery, with Alcantara inserts in the shoulder areas and multicontour function and heating, are complemented by the AMG sports steering wheel with AMG aluminium shift paddles and perforated leather on the specially-shaped grip area. A nappa leather-trimmed dashboard is also available as an optional extra.

The updated ML 63 AMG is available to order with immediate effect and will be delivered to customers from July 2010. It carries a price tag of 105,077 euros (incl. 19% VAT).

2012 Mercedes M-Class AMG prototype Mule Spotted in Germany.

The Pistonspy took these photos of the upcoming 2012 Mercedes-Benz ML AMG just before it began testing at the nurburgring. The pictures arent great quality as he was avoiding being snapped.

Though heavily camouflaged, The ML AMG was identified with the characteristics such as the AMG wheels with the logo aptly taped out, big cross-drilled brake discs.

The AMG will arrive with a 560-horsepower (425-kW, 565-PS) twin-turbo V8.

The Mercedes-Benz ML AMG will likely be shown off in non mule form at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, with a market release soon after.
