Techart Turbo Cayenne Speed Record (200mph)

Driven by S Reuter, the turbo powered TECHART Cayenne hit a top speed of 200 mph at the Trial of Strength event at the Nardò test track in Italy.

The winning car, refined with the TECHART equipment, is based on a Porsche Cayenne Turbo with Turbo S technology. The installed TA 055/2.2 performance kit takes the engine up to a mighty 680 hp, an increase of 130 hp compared with the standard production model.

The Aerodynamics Kit I, together with the “Sport” air suspension module, additionally delivered the necessary performance on the circuit.

Virgin Racing, is set to compete with the smallest budget in Formula 1 when the team makes it debut in 2010.

The newcomers held a launch to hail its arrival in the sport overnight, presenting drivers Timo Glock and Lucas di Grassi to the media in addition to confirming its Virgin branding, which the team professed was F1’s worst kept secret.

Branson made a splash earlier this year when he inked a sponsorship deal with dual title winners Brawn GP, sparking his interest in F1.

While Brawn’s success subsequently priced Branson out, the world renowned entrepreneur leapt at the opportunity to partner Manor Grand Prix and become a naming rights sponsor.

The stories about Michael Schumacher’s comeback with Mercedes GP AKA Brawn Gp, There is now reports in the German Press. That the seven-time world champion met  this week with the  Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo, Speculation has it to get him to release from the Ferrari-Consultant contract.

This should only be a formality, since Montezemolo wants  no obstacles in Schumachers path.

AC SCHNITZER’S 335d Break the Heating Fuel Speed Record

The car was based on the 335d with a power output of 306bhp which is only a 25bhp hike from the standard car and achieved 288.7kph.

Mclaren P11 Detailing Revealed

The Mclaren P11 was spotted today in test at the nurburgring,This was spotted in september but a lot of the detailing was still heavily camouflaged.

Notice the exhaust Detailing on the rear of the midengined 200mph plus supercar which is rumoured to be 500-650 bhp will be powered by a mid-mounted bespoke McLaren M838T 3.8-litre V8 twin-turbo engine.

The new McLaren aims to compete with the forthcoming Ferrari 458 Italia, and it is likely to be more expensive than the Italian car at around £145,000. The first P11 is planned to be delivered to its owner early in 2011.

The 2010 Jaguar XJ was just released this summer, but as Jaguar gears up for the holiday season, it is releasing a limited-edition run of 50 XJL Supercharged cars for Neiman Marcus’s holiday catalog.

The 2010 Jaguar XJL Supercharged Neiman Marcus Edition, as the car is exhaustively titled, features exactly what you’d expect: the extended-wheelbase 2010 Jaguar XJL platform, a 470-horsepower Eaton supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 engine and custom Neiman Marcus special-edition interior and exterior treatments.

These are the best Nurburgring Photo’s yet of Audi RS5, which we’ve spied testing on the Nordschleife Ring in Germany.

Performance will be 0-60mph in 4.5 seconds. It will be targeted to be in direct competition with the BMW’s mighty v8 M3

Engine will output 450bhp and will be a 4.2-litre twin-turbo V8, Compared to the 414bhp 4.0-litre V8-engined M3 and boasts a Quattro four-wheel drive system too, available with a choice of both six-speed manual and seven-speed dsg derivative gearboxes.

In addition to four-wheel drive, it will also boast Audi’s new active rear differential – as used by the latest S4 – which helps distribute torque to different wheels, aiding agility and traction.

2011 Mercedes CLS AMG Nurburgring

This morning as I was driving to the ring I spotted the 2011 Mercedes CLS AMG driving in an aggressive manner overtaking traffic on the road to the ring.

I wanted to get a few snaps of the car so my partner Jane pulled the camera out and attempted to get some shots as the driver tried to evade being snapped.

The current CLS 63 AMG shares its engine with the previous-generation E 63 AMG 378kW (514hp) from a 6.3-litre V8 installed and the new amg should be making making 387kW (527hp). The rear wheels should be Mercedes Speedshift MCT 7-speed gearbox.

All i can say is the current testcar and driver tried to evade the pursuit and we still managed to get some very average pictures, So they obviously need to tune the powerplant a little before the release in 2011.
