BMW and Zagato are in collaboration again at the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance with the result of just six weeks worth of master craftsmanship from BMW and Zagato, the BMW Zagato Roadster is a natural progression from the BMW Zagato Coupé.
Most of the design cues have been carried across from the BMW Zagato Coupé, which leaves the rear undergoing most of the transformation.
The BMW M3 is beginning its prototype training and has been seen in the Death Valley in the USA, and also most recently the Nordschleife in Germany.
These shots are showing us either a very early design stage of the front bumper or the are going for a less aggressive look and this surely cant be the case, so we expect these to change form throughout next year. Continue reading 2013 BMW M3 – Spied Nurburgring→
This week Autoweek have suggested that the 2014 BMW M3 Saloon is to be shown at Geneva’s 2013 Motor Show, but in Production Concept form.
Later on at the home show at Frankfurt BMW are likely to see the final production model on display in all its glory for the press. We also expect to start seeing some of the prototype testing teasers of the model after the over whelming interest in the previous Series on the v8 Bi-Turbo M5.
Also with the introduction of the new F33 4 series which will be in coupe and convertible form the m3 will be exclusively in saloon and perhaps a M3 Touring?. (4 Series Spyshots)
All we do know is that the rumoured Tri-Turbo flat six is likely to unleash a mighty 444 bhp along with an impressive 474 Nm of torque, rumour has it could sport an overboost feature for additional power. And it’s just occurred to me that the Audi RS series were always an historically forced induction power unit, and seems that Audi favour naturally aspirated engines. All I have to say is I look forward to Audi returning to the pinnacle of turbocharged rockets 2014 RS6 anyone????
It looks like the Countryman coupé concept is off the drawing board at Mini’s design studio in Munich.
Here are the latest spyshots of what looks like a production prototype of the Mini’s answer to Range Rovers Evoque.
Strangely looking at the prototype pictured here it looks like the hint of suicide doors have been canned and they have gone for a 3 door variant unless Mini are hiding a further prototype in the Mini Research and Development center in Munich.
This will probably be the last revision of the current mini range on the old platform with the all new Mini allready appearing in prototype form.
Barely a year after the unveiling of the 2+2-seater BMW i8 Concept and previously the Vision, BMW i is now presenting us the second series of this innovative hybrid sports car.
This is a car in which outstanding performance potential goes hand-in-hand with extremely low fuel consumption and emissions with its 96 kW (131 hp) electric motor on the front axle works in tandem with a turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine sending 164 kW (223 hp) through the rear wheels.
Both units are in-house BMW Group developments and generate an aggregate system output of 260 kW (354 hp) and peak torque of 550 Newton metres. That is enough to accelerate the BMW i8 Concept Spyder from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in five seconds on the way to an electronically governed top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
The performance figures are groundbreaking if its claim to return a whopping 94 mpg in tes cases (All Downhill??).
And to top of the car they have thrown in 2 electric Kickboards for the Michael J Fox in us all, what ever next a flux Capacitor?
