This is BMWs answer to the Mercedes CLS AMG and Audi flagship S7, the M6 Gran Coupe has been spotted in light camouflage during cold weather testing in Scandinavia. With its deep front spoiler and wider fenders it looks really aggressive and the M trademark quad exhaust pipes finish the back off beautifully.
Powered by the same high revving turbocharged V8 engine as the M5 and the just revealed M6 Coupe and Convertible, the M6 Gran Coupe has atleast 560 wild horses to play with. Rumors are even talking on a 20-40 hp power boost for the M6 Gran Coupe, making it 580-600 hp in total.
All this power will be sent to BMW M´s latest seven-speed Double Clutch Transmission with Drivelogic.
Here are the latest spyshots of the upcoming 911 Turbo Coupe in very light camouflage and just hides some of the detailing on the front bumper.
Looking closely at the spyshots in the images above, we can clearly see the trademark induction inlets supplying the artic cool air to the 6 cylinder twin turbo boxer engine, as well as its wider rear end and oversized spoiler will aid the AWD system in downforce and grip.
The rear bumper on this new 911 Turbo also features additional cooling vents and a set of integrated exhaust pipes which are likely to be changed.
From The current 997 generation, the 911 Turbo is 4.5 cm wider stance than the regular Carrera.
The engine is likely to be around the 565 hp to compete with the Nissan GTR and is likely to release an interesting nurburgring lap time video close to release in late 2012.
The car is also likely to have an optional upgrade to the ‘PDK-S’ dual clutch transmission sporting an additional gear to keep shorter gear ratio to aid acceleration and mid range torque.
We expect a production prototype to be shown at Geneva in a couple of months….
Two new Bentley Continental V8 models have been unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on 9th January 2012.
The V8 range of Bentleys have been unveiled at the 2012 NAIAS in Detroit.
The new 4.0 litre, twin turbocharged V8 Continental GT coupé and GTC convertible achieve exceptional standards for power-to-emissions in the high luxury sports car sector.
This remarkable, new Bentley V8 engine delivers maximum power of 500 bhp (507 PS / 373 Kw) at 6000 rev/min and an extraordinary peak torque of 660 Nm (487 lb ft) which is available across virtually the entire rev range from 1700 to 5000 rev/min, providing exhilarating performance and effortless power delivery in the Bentley tradition. Combined with a new close-ratio 8-speed automatic transmission, this translates into a 0-60 mph sprint time of 4.6 seconds for the GT coupe (0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds) and a top speed of 188 mph (303 km/h).
At the same time, the new V8 Continental models achieve outstanding levels of fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions for the luxury performance sector and are capable of travelling over 500 miles (800 km) on a single tank of fuel.
Which isn’t surprising considering the 90 litre fuel tank.
