2012 Mercedes CLS Brochure Shots and Nurburgring Spyshots

The 2012 Mercedes CLS has spied at the Nurburgring Nordschleife the guys over a Mercedes – Benz ‘s Passion have also seen some leaked shots of the upcoming brochure CLS.

The detailing includes the usual ” shooting brake “concept of sloping curves and feminine esque rear LED clusters. And widebody style arches.

Inside is the usual Mercedes leather interior and more sports like molded seats to increase passenger stability on hard cornering .

The Isle of Man TT, David Coulthard and a Mercedes SLS AMG make the world’s fastest 3d Film.

The film was shot on the Isle of Man, where they shut the Mountain Road which is part of the iconic TT road circuit, to allow ex-F1 driver and F1 commentator David Coulthard to put the Mercedes SLS AMG through its paces, and reach 162mph along the way.

The second car to track and film the Coultard led drive was a second SLS AMD driven by Robbie Head.

So if you happen to be around a 3d public house it will be shown on “SKY” tv’s pub channel.


2011 Mercedes ML 63 AMG

Mercedes unveils its updated exterior on the ML 63 AMG, featuring a powerful 375 kW (510 hp) AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine, takes on a more attractive appearance thanks to some subtle but effective changes.

From the front, the eye is immediately drawn to the new bonnet with power domes, and the darkened bi-xenon headlamps with active light function. The rear, meanwhile, also contributes appropriately to the new look: the performance SUV now features darkened tail lamps incorporating a clear-lens design and LED technology. The subtle changes to the exterior coordinate perfectly with the high-gloss, chromed front and rear underguard, and afford the ML 63 AMG an even more powerful and distinctive appearance.

Still boasting a power output of 375 kW (510 hp) at 6800/rpm as well as 630 Nm of torque, the ML 63 AMG is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds, and achieves a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited). At the renowned International Engine of the Year Awards in 2009, the AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine took the top places in both the “Best Performance Engine” and “Above 4 litres” categories.

As before, power transfer is taken care of via the AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission with three drive modes. The permanent all-wheel drive is decidedly sporty: the power is split asymmetrically 40:60 between the front and rear wheels to provide optimum agility. The AMG sports suspension, based on the AIRMATIC package with air suspension, adaptive damping system ADS and automatic level control all-round, provides dynamic performance combined with the hallmark Mercedes long-distance comfort. The generously dimensioned AMG high-performance braking system, which features internally ventilated and perforated brake discs all-round, ensures short braking distances and optimum resistance to fading.

The ML 63 AMG comes with 5-spoke AMG light-alloy wheels, which are painted titanium grey with a high-sheen finish and fitted with 295/40 R 20 tyres on the front and rear. As an optional extra, titanium-grey-painted, high-sheen twin-spoke AMG light-alloy wheels fitted with 295/35 R 21 tyres are also available.

As usual, the interior of the ML 63 AMG is both functional and high-quality: electrically adjustable AMG sports seats finished in nappa leather upholstery, with Alcantara inserts in the shoulder areas and multicontour function and heating, are complemented by the AMG sports steering wheel with AMG aluminium shift paddles and perforated leather on the specially-shaped grip area. A nappa leather-trimmed dashboard is also available as an optional extra.

The updated ML 63 AMG is available to order with immediate effect and will be delivered to customers from July 2010. It carries a price tag of 105,077 euros (incl. 19% VAT).

#Mercedes SLS #AMG Cabriolet spotted in test at the Nurburgring

Today the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Cabriolet sneaked a quick lap on the Nurburgring.

These spy shots dont reveal the Cabriolet hood fitments as it is still hidden under camouflage the active air brake is also visible providing valuable downforce.

Containing the same AMG 6.3 litre V8 found in the SLS Gullwing, the Cabriolet should be able of approaching the coupe’s 195mph top whack and sub 4.7 second 0-62mph time.

Also strangely the SLS will lose one of its characteristics the Gullwing door but im sure something special will be used to make his another iconic legend.

Somebody mentioned today it could be a Targa Top only time will reveal its true secrets.


2012 Mercedes M-Class AMG prototype Mule Spotted in Germany.

The Pistonspy took these photos of the upcoming 2012 Mercedes-Benz ML AMG just before it began testing at the nurburgring. The pictures arent great quality as he was avoiding being snapped.

Though heavily camouflaged, The ML AMG was identified with the characteristics such as the AMG wheels with the logo aptly taped out, big cross-drilled brake discs.

The AMG will arrive with a 560-horsepower (425-kW, 565-PS) twin-turbo V8.

The Mercedes-Benz ML AMG will likely be shown off in non mule form at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, with a market release soon after.


2013 Mercedes Benz SL Class #spotted #exclusive #nurburgring

New spy pictures of the next-generation Mercedes-Benz SL prototype have surfaced this time at the Nurburgring in Germany.

The luxury roadster has now begun its handling test programme after succesfully completing its extreme weather handling.

We should see equipment items such as LED lights and the usual hard top.

The new SLS will engines such as the 5.5-litre V8 with 285kW (387hp) and possibly the rumoured 400kW (544hp)-plus 4.0-litre twin turbo.

These should be mated to a 7-speed automatic.

Expect to see sales in third quarter 2012


2012 Mercedes-Benz B-Class #Spyshots #Nurburgring

The Piston Spy spotted the 2012 Mercedes-Benz B-Class during industry test days at the Nurburgring. The second generation MPV will replace the facelifted first model, which hit the dealerships in 2008.

Not a lot of change to the mule outfit from the earlier winter testing spyshots.

According to reports, the new model will use a front wheel-drive platform different from the one utilized for the A-Class. Aside from the hatchback, Mercedes may bring the car out as a five-door coupe and coupe cabriolet.

There is also reports that the Mercedes Motorsport will make an AMG varient of this Chassis to compete with the Audi S3 and the Ford Focus RS but im afraid this wasnt the AMG varient.

Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 Variant Unvailed Mexico

Mexico – Before the market launch of the SLS AMG on 27 March 2010, Mercedes-AMG is presenting a GT3 variant. Developed to comply with the GT3 specifications of the FIA. The new SLS AMG GT3 is an emphatic continuation of AMG’s commitment to motor sports.

AMG has been a pioneer in the motor sports world ever since its foundation in 1967.

 The new racing version of the SLS AMG is developed and produced by AMG in close cooperation with HWA AG. HWA is responsible for the DTM racing team on behalf of Mercedes-Benz Motorsports. The HWA team is one of the most successful in international motor sports, as witness nine driver championships in the DTM and ITC, as well as two championship titles in the FIA GT Championships. The SLS AMG GT3 is set to write another chapter in this success story, and harks back to the 300 SL racing sports car of 1952 which first established the “gullwing” legend.

Its historic victory in the “Carrera Panamericana” long-distance race also made Mercedes-Benz a household name in North and Central America, and demonstrated the know-how and expertise of the Stuttgart-based automobile company.


All these features ensure a low drag coefficient and maximum downforce – while guaranteeing effective cooling of thermally highly stressed components. The C-pillars accommodate the standardised filler pipes for the fast-refuel system.

The FIA will determine the maximum output of the AMG 6.3-litre V8 front-mid engine with dry sump lubrication on the “Balance of Performance” principle. This is intended to ensure that all the racing cars taking part have an equal chance. The classification process, during which the kerb weight is also determined, will be completed in 2010.

Power transmission in the GT3 variant is by a sequential six-speed racing transmission with steering wheel shift paddles and an integrated multi-disc locking differential. As in the standard SLS AMG, the transmission is located at the rear axle: the engine and transmission are connected by a torque tube within which a carbon-fibre shaft rotates at the engine speed, as in the roadgoing version. Functional racing car atmosphere in the interior The interior of the SLS AMG GT3 is dominated by a functional racing car atmosphere: the steel rollover cage not only ensures the driver’s safety, but also adds additional reinforcement to the aluminium spaceframe. Another eye-catching feature is the racing buucket seat with a six-point seat belt and HANS system (Head and Neck Support).

The central display is perfectly positioned in the driver’s field of vision, and shows all the relevant information such as speed, engine rpm, operating temperatures, lap times and the selected gear. The open-top racing steering wheel with gearshift paddles makes perfect vehicle control possible. Additional controls are located on the centre console. This is where the driver can not only start the AMG V8 engine or adjust the traction control, but also select reverse gear or – if the worst comes to the worst – activate the integrated fire extinguisher system. The adjustment control for the brake balance is located on the torque tube tunnel.
