These are the latest spy shots showing the face-lifted Mercedes E-class cabriolet undergoing testing. The model is due to be launched at next year’s Detroit motor show.
The updated front-end styling provides styling cues from the current 2013-2014 range and is claimed to offer improved fuel efficiency from revised aerodynamics.
That means new one-piece headlights, a new bumper at both front and rear as well as new graphics at the rear lights. The grille will be similar to the new A-Class.
It looks like Mercedes-Benz are about to go official with the new Mercedes CLA after it has been spotted in LA undergoing filming.
Under the hood will be a 1.8 litre four-cylinder engine which is rated at 210hp, and will be connected to the A-Class Mercedes front-wheel Architecture with its seven speed dual clutch gearbox.
The chassis is also being utilised in the Mercedes-Benz GLA which is the crossover version of the A-Class and has been recently spied, along with the AMG version which is also beginning to lose its camouflage. Continue reading Mercedes-Benz CLA – Filming in LA→
Mercedes-Benz is hard at work on its GLA crossover model , previously known as the GLC. The crossover is to compete against the likes of the upcoming Porsche Macan and the BMW x1.
The GLA will be built on the German automaker’s front wheel drive Platform (MFA) that also underpins the new A and B Class models, and will be offered in both front-wheel four-wheel drive.
