Mercedes AMG

Mercedes-Benz has revealed the first official images of the A45 AMG before its official unveiling at the Geneva motorshow.

The earlier spy shots gave us an indication of its SLS like front profile and the engine will be the 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine is expected to deliver 360 HP at 6000 rpm and 450 Nm of torque between 2,250 & 5,000 rpm.

All that available torque is force fed to all four wheels through a dual-clutch, seven-speed transmission with Race Start function.

The Astonishing Mercedes Benz A45 AMG

Mercedes AMG

It’s going to take a while to get used to this. Mercedes Benz cars are supposed to be big, imposing and luxurious. Owning a Mercedes Benz means you are a significant member of society. You have the money to buy a Mercedes and the taste to appreciate Mercedes styling and the legacy of the brand.

What if the car isn’t significant in size or looks? What if it doesn’t look like a Mercedes Benz? A Mercedes that looks ordinary is like a three star Michelin restaurant selling Rice Crispy treats. Those treats better have something extraordinary in them. Luckily, Mercedes Benz let the clever people at AMG have the car with permission to do whatever they want. Mercedes-AMG GmbH is the performance expert for Mercedes Benz. They’re responsible for the frighteningly fast Black series of Mercedes Benz performance cars.

The A45 AMG is the same size and shape as any other sub-compact. It’s got five doors, the essentially fastback design with (when viewed from the side) an oval for the passengers and a box for the engine and the general look of a second or third car. It also carries a $50,000 price tag.

2013 – The new Porsche 911 Carrera 4 – Official

Porsche New 911 Carrera 4 (991)
Well after numerous spyshots, the current 991 series are officially to have active all-wheel drive system 911 later in 2012.

Not surprisingly there are only four versions of the all-wheel drive 911 – as the 911 Carrera 4 and 911 Carrera 4S and each as Coupé and Cabriolet. They sport the same traits as the rear-wheel drive versions: their lightweight body design, suspension, engines and gearboxes are identical, the only exception being modifications related to the all-wheel drive. This means that despite a higher level of engine and driving performance, all four models consume significantly less fuel than the previous models; total savings for individual versions are as much as 16 per cent. In addition, the new 911 Carrera 4 is up to 65 kg lighter in weight.

Range Rover Spotted in Winter Test Spyshots.

The 2012-2013 Range Rover is getting close to the final production form and is finishing its extensive test cycle in the Arctic Circle.

As you can see the clearest shots of the interior it seems to have a complete digital instrument display along with a totally modernised interior.

The aluminium chassis will weigh in around 500kg lighter than its older brother, resulting in a total weight of an impressive 2,000kg.

The powertrain will be revised as well, consisting of an 4.4 liter V8 diesel engine which offers around 320 HP and a eight-speed servo actuated gearbox.

Due to the weight reduction and advanced engine advances we expect the MPG to be similar to the larger saloon cars.

The fourth generation Range Rover will also be available with a diesel powered V6 and a more 5.0 liter supercharged V8.

We are also hearing rumours that Range Rover are testing a replacement to the supercharger and probably introducing a Tri-Turbo set up to aid its MPG targets.

I think its too early to expect a world premier of the car at Geneva but we might see a concept of the upcoming vehicle.

2013 Range Rover Spyshots – Spied in Southern Europe

The new generation Range Rover has been spotted during hot weather testing in Southern Europe today.

These are the first Spyshots of a prototype of the 2013 Range Rover, it is really important platform for Land Rover as it shares chassis as the upcoming Land Rover Discovery and Range Rover Sport.

Rumors are talking about that the new platform is a modified Jaguar XJ platform that has been strengthened on vital places to make sure the off-road capabilities will remain top of the line.

The new Range Rover has gone through a drastic weight reduction, thanks to more aluminum used on both chassis and body which will improve on consumption and its off road capability.

Power will come from both diesel and petrol engines known from the current line-up, even if slightly upgraded, and there will also be two hybrid versions.

This means that the Range Rover will be available both as diesel hybrid and as petrol hybrid when it will be official in late 2012 or early 2013
