2013-2014 Audi S1 Sportsback – Spied out Winter Testing

Audi S1 Sportsback

After the uber bonkers Audi A1 Clubsport which had 495hp Audi have been out testing the sensible Audi S1.

The changes from the regular A1 include 2 extra doors and more practicality than the current range topping 185ps 1.4 tfsi.

Audi was saving the Quattro all wheel drive transmission for this car and is rumoured to be a derived from the club sport obviously with less strengthened parts.

The car is expected to be powered by a revised 2-litre TFSI engine which will be introduced along the Seat and VW range in 2014, the tell tale quad exhaust tips tell us this is the S model.

This production mule does not look much different than the current sportsback as we expect that this will get facelifted in the upcoming production prototypes.

We expect Audi to showcase either a production ready prototype at this years Frankfurt IAA and production to start late 2013 and a guesstimate price of around 28-30k .
