Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse in Action

Veyron Vitesse

Watch the revised video of Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse in action. 1200HP, 0-100km/h in 2.6 seconds and a top speed of 410km/h are just a few of the car’s vital statistics. However, words alone will never do justice to this automotive masterpiece.

This is a car that demands to be seen, a car guaranteed to send shivers down your spine the moment you hear the distinctive roar of its W16 engine.

At the front and rear, numerous aerodynamic measures that appeared on the Super Sport have been adapted for the Grand Sport Vitesse. The front end is therefore characterized by larger air intakes; the two central air intakes to the left and right of the radiator grille are horizontally divided by a bar. The bottom air vent stretches sideways into the wheel housing and lends this exceptional sports car an extremely high-performance appearance. The rear end, like on the Super Sport, is characterized by a double diffuser and a centrally positioned twin tailpipe. A new Park Distance Control system (PDC) integrated in the front and the rear makes parking easy.

At the French Grand Prix at Lyon in 1924, Bugatti unveiled a new production racing car, the famous Type 35. They were officially campaigned in every possible competitive event until 1930, during which this little jewel recorded a huge number of successes in the hand of Works drivers and private drivers. Today, it remains the symbol of the Bugatti marque. Throughout production, there were a number of variations offered by the factory for the Type 35, including supercharged versions, but always based on the eight cylinder engine. A four cylinder variant was introduced at the end of 1925 and designated the Type 37. It benefitted from the same chassis, and with a few alterations, the same chassis as its bigger sister. The Type 37 was renowned for its lightness, nimbleness and reliability, and was good for 145kph. Over the four years of production, approximately 270 examples were completed, of which many have disappeared, due to being worn out by active sporting careers. So, original examples with continuous history such as the car on offer today, are extremely rare.

Thanks to Ralph the owner of the vehicle for the Model number of this car you can see his personal website here :- www.bugatti37.de

Throughout his life, Ettore Bugatti constantly experimented with different colour schemes and materials as he sought to create his unique cars. Today, Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. continues this tradition, and is constantly expanding the range of options it offers on the basis of suggestions received from customers. In discussion with the design and engineering team, buyers of Bugatti cars can tailor their vehicles to their personal preferences by choosing from a wide array of exquisite materials and paint finishes.

The two models on display in Geneva showcase the evergrowing range of options available to new Veyron and Grand Sport owners.

Two-tone colour scheme with Royal Dark Blue carbon fibre and Arctic White On the first of the two Grand Sport models exhibited in Geneva, the bonnet, monocoque and rear section are made of carbon fibre tinted in a Royal Dark Blue colour that shows off the lustre of the fibre.

Air intakes and all grilles (except the highly polished radiator grille) are likewise finished in Royal Dark Blue, creating a striking contrast between the central part of the car and the Arctic White side panels. The inner sides of the horseshoe-shaped spokes in the wheel rims are also painted Royal Dark Blue. The EB logos on the wheels, and fuel and oil filler cap are still made of polished aluminium as usual.
